In her past career she occupied the position of Chairman of Hong Kong Science & Technology Parks Corp., Deputy & Member-Executive Council at Government of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and Commissioner of Independent Commission Against Corruption.

She received an undergraduate degree from the University of Hong Kong, a graduate degree from Harvard University and a graduate degree from The Chinese University of Hong Kong.
