Ignacio Rivera Bunye founded Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa.

He is on the board of Bank of the Philippine Islands, BPI Family Savings Bank, Inc., BPI Direct Savings Bank, Inc. and Bpi Direct Banko, Inc. and Member of Integrated Bar of the Philippines, Member of Manila Overseas Press Club, Inc. and Member of National Press Club of The Philippines.

In the past Mr. Bunye held the position of Assistant VP-Corporate Banking & Treasury at Bank of the Philippine Islands, Assistant Vice President at BPI Investment Corp., Assistant Corporate Secretary at Escuela Taller De Filipinas Foundation, Inc., Chairman for Metropolitan Manila Development Authority, Member-Monetary Board at Bangko Sentral Ng Pilipinas and Assistant Secretary at Ayala Foundation, Inc.

Mr. Bunye received an undergraduate degree from the University of Ateneo de Manila, an undergraduate degree from the University of Ateneo de Manila and a graduate degree from Asian Institute of Management.
