Currently, Katherine Mary Barker is Honorary Fellow at The National Institute of Economic & Social Research and Chairman at British Coal Staff Superannuation Scheme.

She is also Council Member at the University of Oxford, Chairman-Northern Ireland at The Economic Advisory Group, Non-Executive Member at Office for Budget Responsibility and Member of National Infrastructure Commission and on the board of 5 other companies.

In her past career she occupied the position of Member of Housing Corp., Director at Unbound Group Plc and Member-Monetary Policy Committee at Bank of England.
