Presently, Michael Helmer holds the position of Secretary & Chief Legal Officer of NextDC Ltd. Mr. Helmer is also Member of Association of Corporate Counsel, Member of Australian Institute of Co. Directors, Member of Australian Corporate Lawyers Association and Member of Governance Institute of Australia Ltd.

In the past Michael Helmer occupied the position of Director-Asia Pacific Legal Services at Symantec Australia Holding Pty Ltd., General Counsel for ShopSmart Ltd. and General Counsel of PC Tools Pty Ltd.

He received an undergraduate degree from Monash University.
