Presently, Surendra Kumar A. Banmali occupies the position of Chairman at Tata Projects Ltd. Mr. Banmali is also President-Infrastructure, Defense & Aerospace at Tata Sons Pvt Ltd. and on the board of 5 other companies.

In his past career he occupied the position of Group Vice President at Wärtsilä Oyj Abp and Managing Director at Wärtsilä India Pvt Ltd. (a subsidiary of Wärtsilä Oyj Abp) and President & Chief Executive Officer of GE India.

Mr. Banmali received an undergraduate degree from Manipal Institute of Technology and an undergraduate degree from Mangalore University.
