In the past Dr. Zhu held the position of President & Chief Executive Officer of Genetastix Corp., Vice President-Research at Cathay Biotech, Inc., Principal at HUYA Bioscience International LLC, Vice President for Huya Biomedical Technology Shanghai Co., Ltd., Principal at Genentech, Inc., Director-Molecular Biology at Takara Bio USA, Inc. and Principal at Cathay Industrial Biotech Ltd.

Dr. Zhu received a doctorate from Stanford University and an undergraduate degree from East China Normal University.
