Mr. Adam S.
Thurgood, CFA, is a Managing Partner at HighTower Advisors LLC.
He joined the firm in September 2012 and focuses on managing client portfolios.
He leads the team's research and investment process, which focuses on helping clients achieve their goals while properly managing risk.
Mr. Thurgood began his career in the financial services industry in 2000 with Prudential Securities.
He was a Vice President and Senior Portfolio Manager in Merrill Lynch's PIA Program.
He is regularly quoted in the financial press and has appeared numerous times on CNBC, as well as other radio and TV programs.
He served as an adjunct finance professor at UNLV from 2009-2014, and is also a board member of Junior Achievement of Southern Nevada, a non-profit organization aimed at improving financial literacy among today's youth.
Mr. Thurgood earned his Bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV).
He graduated magna cum laude and also holds a Master degree in Banking and Financial Services from Boston University, as well as the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
