Alan Sislen

Mr. Alan Sislen is a Director at Placemark Investments, Inc. He was the president of Managed Account Perspectives, LLC, a consulting firm that provided executive-level strategic consulting on the managed account business to asset management firms, program sponsors and money managers.
Previously, Mr. Sislen worked at Merrill Lynch for over 30 years, where for 10 years he was first vice president and senior director of the Investment Consulting Group, Merrill's separately managed account group.
In that capacity he was responsible for several investment programs, including ML Consults, Mutual Fund Advisor, Strategic Portfolio Advisor and Personal Investment Advisory.
He also served as branch manager for Merrill Lynch's Chicago, Washington, D.C.
and Tysons Corner, Va., offices and was also national sales manager for the company's retail sales force.
Mr. Sislen has also served on the Professional Advisory Council of the Investment Management Consultants Association (IMCA), and on the board of directors of the Money Management Institute (MMI).
He also received the Managed Account Pioneer Award from MMI in 2000.
