Andrey Derekh

Mr. Andrey Derekh is Chairman at Uniter Investment Co. CJSC.
Prior to joining UNITER, he was the economic advisor on issues related to investments into the oil and telecommunications sectors of the Ministry of State Property of the Republic of Belarus, the director of the Investment and Corporate Relations Department in the Slavneft Oil and Gas Company (Russia).
In 1997 - 2002 Andrey was the representative of Slavneft in the direction of Mozyr Oil Refinery.
He participated in the creation of Slavneftebank (7th largest bank in Belarus - today VTB) and represented the interests of Slavneft in the Supervisory Board.
In 2002 he took the lead in UNITER.
Mr. Drekh has experience in advising large investors such as Russneft Oil and Gas Company, HydroMash Group, Surgutneftegaz, Russian Machines, Danone, Heilderbergcement, EBRD.
In 2006-2011 he was the financial advisor to several large-scale projects in the real estate and financial sector over USD 700 m.
At present Mr. Derekh Andrey is a member of the Financial Markets Development Committee at the Foreign Investment Advisory Council of the Belarusian Government.
He is a national coordinator of the working group uniting Unicredit CAIB, Deutsche Bank, Baker & McKenzie and UNITER on preparation of recommendations on legislation changes required for creation of necessary conditions for IPO of Belarusian companies.
Mr. Derekh Andrey holds a Diploma in Engineering of the Belarusian Radio-Technical Institute (1992) and a post-graduate degree of the International Institute of Management (1994) and the Chartered Institute of Marketing (2000).
