Anthony Fonseka

Anthony Nihal Fonseka is currently the Chairman at Phoenix Industries Ltd.
He is also a Senior Independent Non-Executive Director at John Keells Holdings Plc, a Non-Executive Director at Brandix Lanka Ltd., a Non-Executive Director at Phoenix Ventures Ltd., and a Member of the Governing Board at the National Institute of Business Management since 2013.
In his former positions, Fonseka served as the Chief Executive Officer & Executive Director at DFCC Bank PLC from 2012 to 2013.
He was also the Chairman of Lanka Ventures Plc, the Colombo Stock Exchange from 2006 to 2011, and the Association of Development Financing Institutions from 2010 to 2012.
Additionally, he held various roles such as Chairman at Synapsys Ltd., Non-Executive Director at DFCC Bank PLC, Director at the Employees' Trust Fund Board, Non-Executive Director at John Keells Hotels Plc, and Senior Independent Non-Executive Director at John Keells Hotels Plc.

Fonseka served as a Member of the Monetary Board at the Central Bank of Sri Lanka from 2016 to 2020 and was a Member of the National Procurement Commission.
He is a Member of The Chartered Institute For Securities & Investment and the Strategic Enterprise Management Agency.
Fonseka pursued his undergraduate studies at the University of Peradeniya and the University of Ceylon.
