ADIA-IM’s investment departments are responsible for building and managing investment portfolios within the parameters set for them through the asset allocation process. These departments, which invest across multiple asset classes and geographies, have discretion over the origination and recommendation of investment proposals. The firm’s strategy and planning activities work in tandem, aligning organizational priorities with investment objectives through the ADIA Wide-Planning (AWP) process. The Strategy & Planning Department (SPD) plays a central role in ADIA-IM’s investment process, with responsibility for developing, maintaining and periodically reviewing ADIA’s Strategic Asset Allocation (SAA) across more than two dozen asset classes and sub-categories.

ADIA is responsible for investing in private equity globally through externally managed funds and through investments in private companies, typically alongside their external partners. The firm’s primary fund investment activities are broadly organized geographically across North America, Europe and emerging markets with strategies such as venture capital, private credit and distressed credit invest with a global mandate. ADIA’s secondary and principal investing activities operates worldwide on a global platform with portfolios that is diversified by geography, industry, stage, size and timeframe.

Clocktower Technology invests in companies located in the United States and Latin America. The firm targets companies operating in the fields of financial services innovation, technology, energy and industrials. It provides financing for seed and early stage transactions.
