Charles M. Vest

In addition to becoming a board member at In Q Tel, Dr. Vest is President Emeritus and a Professor of Mechanical Engineering for the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
He was Vice President for the Academic Affairs of the University of Michigan.
He was President of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 1990 to 2004.
He is a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science and a Member of the National Academy of Engineering.
He was Vice Chairman of the Council on Competitiveness from 1997 to 2004.
Dr. Vest is Chairman of the Advisory Board of TIAX LLC and a Member of the President's Council of Advisors on Science and Technology.
He is a Director of E.
I.
du Pont de Nemours and Company and has been a Director of International Business Machines Corp.
since 1994.
Dr. Vest received a BS from West Virginia University in 1963.
He received an MS in 1964 and a PhD in 1967 from the University of Michigan.
