The Warrior Protection & Readiness Association is an American industry advocacy organization dedicated to supporting the individual and unit-level equipment needs of warfighters and peacekeepers. The non-profit company is based in Henrico, VA. It unites domestic manufacturers and suppliers of tactical equipment, apparel, armor, textiles, and uniforms to advocate for policies that sustain and grow the industrial base serving the Department of Defense, Homeland Security, and frontline responders. It fosters industry consensus, communication with defense officials, and knowledge sharing through research, events, and an annual legislative summit. The association also supports the bipartisan Berry Amendment Caucus in Congress to strengthen domestic defense manufacturing and secure the warfighter supply chain. The company was founded in 2009 by David L. Costello. The organization promotes defense acquisition reform, funding for key programs, and enforcement of the Berry Amendment, which requires certain military gear to be produced domestically.
