François Michaud

Prior to founding Righthedge in 2001, from 1988 through 1993, Mr. Michaud was employed by the brokerage firm Desjardins Securites in Montreal most recently as Chief Investment Strategist (1991 through 1993).
From 1993 through 1997, Mr. Michaud was an independent consultant serving as an investment strategist and research analyst for the institutional investment community in matters of asset allocation, portfolio modelling and stock selection.
From 1997 to 2001, Mr. Michaud was an Associate Advisor at RBC Dominion Securities (RBCDS), Montreal, the largest Canadian brokerage firm.
He joined a top producing investment team in order to co-manage discretionary portfolios and provide advisory services for the non-discretionary accounts.
In 1994, Mr. Michaud earned the Chartered Financial Analyst designation through the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts.
He is a member of the Association for Investment Management and Research and the Montreal Financial Analyst Society.
From 1987 through 1990, Mr. Michaud received certifications in the Canadian and American options, futures, and commodities markets from the Canadian Securities Institute.
Mr. Michaud received a Bachelor of Physical Education with a concentration in administration from the University of Ottawa (1984).
