Gikas Hardouvelis

Gikas A. Hardouvelis is currently the Non-Executive Chairman at National Bank of Greece SA. He is also the Vice Chairman at Foundation for Economic & Industrial Research, the Chief Economist & Director of Economic Research at Eurobank Ergasias SA (Research Firm), the Director at Hellenic Harvard Foundation, the Director at Multinational Finance Society, a Professor at the University of Piraeus, a Trustee at Anatolia College, a Member-Academic Council at Cyprus International Institute of Management, and the President at National Bank of Greece Cultural Foundation.
Previously, Dr. Hardouvelis held positions as a Director at National Securities Single Member SA, a Director at Athens Derivatives Exchange SA, a Member-Management Committee at Eurobank Ergasias Services & Holdings SA, and a Member-Scientific Council at The Hellenic Bank Association.
Dr. Hardouvelis received his undergraduate and graduate degrees from Harvard University in 1977 and 1978 respectively.
He also obtained a doctorate degree from the University of California, Berkeley in 1985.
