Carmignac is an active manager which employs a long-term investment strategy. The firm invests predominantly in equity with no market-cap restrictions and favors sectors such as raw materials, energy and precious and non-precious metals. Investment themes include consumption in emerging regions, China, Brazil and South Korea. They also invest in US large-cap companies. Carmignac employs a flexible, top-down sector allocation process and emphasizes liquidity. Emerging markets account for a sizeable proportion of their portfolios.
