Jacob Jackson

Jacob Jackson currently serves as Founder & Managing Partner Card Sound Capital (“CSC”).
A successful entrepre­neur and investor, Jake began his career in law as an Associate Attorney with the Polsinelli law firm based in Kansas City, Missouri, focusing his practice on Mergers and Acquisitions.
Later, Jake became an Assistant Attorney General at the Missouri Attorney General’s Office under former AG and Governor Jeremiah (“Jay”) Nixon.
Jake was introduced to the personalized healthcare industry in 2008, representing The Apothecary Shoppe, a group of compounding pharmacies, as General Counsel.
In 2010, Jake founded Freedom Pharmaceuticals, a wholesale distributor and manufacturer of pharmaceutical raw ingredients, equipment, and supplies.
As CEO of Freedom, Jake grew the business dramatically before the company was acquired by Fagron NV (FAGR:BR), the global leader in pharmaceutical compounding, in 2013.
Jake continued as President of Fagron North America and a member of the Executive Committee until 2016.
During his tenure, Fagron successfully acquired and/or operated six North American entities with over 400 employees.
In 2013, Jake founded CSC to invest in privately held companies.
Since inception, CSC has invested in the personalized healthcare industry, companies focused on sustainable and environmentally responsible business practices, and commercial real estate.
CSC expanded its investment strategy in 2020, now managing 3 significant holdings to create Jackson Sports Enterprises, a sports focused division within Card Sound Capital’s portfolio.
A proud alum of the University of Missouri, Jake is a former member of the Mizzou basketball team, including the 2001-2002 Elite Eight Missouri Tigers.
Jake holds a B.S.
in Political Science and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Missouri.
