Jake Newman

Mr. Jake Newman, CFA, is a Senior Analyst at CreditSights, Inc. He joined CreditSights in 2004, the latest move in a 14-year career that has seen him fulfill a variety of research roles.
His appointment marked his return to the U.S.
after a three-year stint at Rothschild Asset Management/Insight Investment in London (2001-2004) where he was leader of the TMT research team and Deputy Head of Credit Research.
Mr. Newman's analytical experience goes beyond the TMT sector however.
Transferred to London by Prudential Insurance Company of America (1999-2001) he focused on the industrials, especially European high yield names.
He conducted special research studies contrasting U.S.
and European accounting differences and analyzing structural challenges in the European bond markets.
From 1993-1998, he was an analyst at rating agency Standard & Poor's where his responsibilities included researching and rating brokerages, exchanges, and asset management companies.
Mr. Newman received a Masters in Economics from George Washington University in 1981 and a Bachelor of Science majoring in Journalism from Ohio University in 1975.
In 1989 he was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship to Tokyo and he became a Chartered Financial Analyst in 1990.
