John M. Kapchinske

Mr. John M.
Kapchinske is Senior Vice President-Geoscience at Chesapeake NG Ventures Corp.
since its inception in July 2011 and Senior Vice President-Geoscience at Chesapeake Energy Corp.
since June 2011.
He was Vice President – Geoscience for each of Chesapeake’s Western, Southern and Northern Divisions from January 2005 to May 2011.
He served as Geoscience Manager for Chesapeake’s Anadarko District from November 2001 to December 2004.
Prior to joining Chesapeake, Mr. Kapchinske held the position of District Exploration Manager for HS Resources from 1998 to October 2001.
From 1996 to April of 1998, he worked for Pioneer Natural Resources as a Division Exploration Manager and from 1994 to 1996, he worked as a staff geologist at Parker and Parsley Petroleum Company.
Mr. Kapchinske began his professional career with Amoco Production Company in 1979 as a geologist and served in various positions in the geology department of Amoco until 1994.
Mr. Kapchinske graduated from Illinois State University in 1974 and 1977 and from Northern Illinois University in 1980.
