Jonathon Gold

Mr. Jonathon A. Gold, CFA, is a President & Portfolio Manager at Gold Investment Management Ltd. In 2008, he founded Gold Investment Management Ltd. He has been actively engaged in the financial services industry since 1987, beginning his career as a teller with Royal Bank of Canada.
In 1993, he began trading equities and options for TD Waterhouse, eventually becoming Head Liability Trader for the institutional equity trading department of Toronto based investment dealer, CT Securities.
His broad experience includes securities analysis and research, reporting to several major Canadian pension funds.
In 2000, he was President and Chief Financial Officer of TradeFreedom Securities, an independent investment dealer offering electronic trading facilities.
From 2002 to 2007 he was President, Co-Founder, and Director of Edmonton based investment manager, Global Wealth Builders Ltd. He obtained his Bachelor of Commerce, Major in Finance, from Concordia University in Montreal.
He holds the designations of Chartered Financial Analyst, Certified Investment Manager, Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute and Derivatives Market Specialist.
His memberships include the CFA Institute, Edmonton CFA Society and Investment Funds Institute of Canada.
