Inkpen has been a Director of Fortis, Inc. since April 1994 and Chairman of Fortis Properties Corporation since 2000.
She is Chairman of the Medical Advisory Committee of St. John's.
Dr. Inkpen was Commissioner of the Royal Commission on Employment and Unemployment, Province of Newfoundland and Labrador and President of College of the North Atlantic.
She graduated from Memorial University of Newfoundland with a Bachelor of Science, a Bachelor of Education, a Bachelor of Medical Science and a Doctor of Medicine.
