Marc Thom

As an experienced and accomplished investment banker, Marc Thom joined Jacobs Capital in 2015.
He brings international experience and expertise to the team, with a focus on transaction advisory services and private equity.
Marc spent seven years as an Associate, specialising in corporate finance advisory and sell-side/buy-side merger and acquisition transactions at US investment bank Robert W.
Baird in London.
He returned to South Africa in 2005 to take up a position at Investec as a deal originator, where he worked for over a decade structuring debt and equity finance solutions in management buy-outs and buy-ins, acquisitions and empowerment transactions as well as property finance.
Marc holds a BComm, Summa Cum Laude, from the University of KZN.
He has proved to be a valuable asset to Jacobs Capital.
