The HiRel segment provides high reliability power components and sub-assemblies designed to address power management requirements in mission critical applications such as satellites, launch vehicles, aircraft, ships and submarines. Its products include RadHard Discretes, Power Management Modules and DC-DC Converters. The Intellectual Property segment includes revenues from the sale of the company's technologies and manufacturing process know-how. International Rectifier was founded by Eric Lidow and Leon Lidow in August 1947 and is headquartered in El Segundo, CA.
