Nirav Shah

Mr. Nirav Shah is a Managing Director & Head of Asset Management at Ares Management Asia (Hong Kong) Ltd. Mr. Shah worked as an Executive Director at SSG Group on the Asset Management Team, where he focused on ongoing asset management of all the investments within the fund's portfolios across Asia.
Previously, he was a Senior Credit Officer with Citibank in Hong Kong, where he managed the bank's stressed and distressed assets across the Asia-Pacific region.
In addition, he worked with Barclays Bank Plc as a Sector Head on the Risk Management Team, managing large investment banking clients in India.
He began his career with Citibank, where he worked on various transaction services and treasury products before taking up the role of Independent Credit Officer, where he was responsible for approving large corporate credits in India based out of Mumbai.
He received his B.Com.
from the University of Mumbai and an MBA from the University of Mumbai Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies.
