Peter Gutzmer

Peter Gutzmer is currently the Chairman at Forschungsvereinigung Verbrennungskraftmaschinen eV since 2017.
He is also a Director at Schaeffler Motorenelemente AG & Co. KG.
Previously, he served as the President & Chief Executive Officer at Magna Steyr Engineering Services, Inc. from 1991 to 1993.
From 2001 to 2019, he held the position of Deputy Chief Executive Officer at Schaeffler Technologies AG & Co. KG and Schaeffler AG, where he also served as the Chief Technology Officer from 2014 to 2019.
He was the Chairman at Verband der Automobilindustrie eV (VDA).
Additionally, he worked as a Director at Continental Emitec Verwaltungs GmbH from 2010 to 2012 and as a Member-Supervisory Board at Continental AG from 2013 to 2019.
He was also the Head of Engine Systems Business at Continental AG from 2009 to 2011 and the Head of Research & Development at Schaeffler Automotive Buehl GmbH & Co. KG.
Dr. Gutzmer obtained his undergraduate degree from Universität Stuttgart in 1978.
