Fund launching and fund management activities are shared with KBC Asset Management (Belgium). The firm follows a primarily top-down investment process, first seeking to identify market trends, then tactically allocating assets within a previously defined strategic framework. They then construct portfolios, aided by a qualitative bottom-up overlay.

KBCFM performs in-house fundamental research and employs a strict risk framework to select investments across market segments and management style. The firm follows a defined decision-making process which first analyzes and drafts forecasts for various financial market segments. Tactical asset allocation follows, translating the forecasts into active positions from which portfolios are constructed. Individual securities are selected to represent various markets in the portfolio. Quantitative models support their decision-making process.
