Favonius is a hands-on manager which invests in European IT companies which provide software applications, communications software, infrastructure software and software driven services to businesses. The firm seeks to invest in IT companies with outstanding management teams with whom they can develop close 'value added' relationships. They provide operating support to the management of their investee companies through their investment team and venture partner and advisory network. Favonius typically invests in expansion rounds, later-stage financings or MBO/MBI situations to provide growth capital once the core technology risk has been substantially reduced. The companies they back must have the clear potential to grow revenues and profitability significantly over a short- to medium-term horizon. Their target investment size is generally between EUR310 million per opportunity. The firm works closely with a group of venture partners consisting of former industry operating professionals and an Advisory Board which includes leaders in the software and investment management world.
