Mr. Sean S.
Smith, CFA, is an Investment Analyst at ClariVest Asset Management LLC.
He focused on North American strategies.
Prior to joining ClariVest in May 2018, Mr. Smith was a Senior Research Analyst at Russell Investments where he was a member of the Direct Investments team that manages more than $40 billion in assets.
He was responsible for developing quantitatively driven strategies that were used to manage those assets.
He also produced technology infrastructure that facilitated the creation of strategies while raising the standard of research at the firm.
Prior to this, Mr. Smith was an Associate Director at First Quadrant where he modeled currencies, equities, and trading costs.
In addition, his responsibilities included management of $1.5 billion in taxable and $1 billion in tax-exempt equity portfolios.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Cal Poly Pomona and a Master of Science in Financial Engineering from Claremont Graduate University,
