Mr. Kovas joined Lake Capital in 2001.
Prior to joining Lake Capital, Mr. Kovas was a co-founder of Employ Technology, a recruiting technology solutions provider.
That initiative followed positions at Gryphon Investors, Inc., a San Francisco-based private equity firm, where he was involved with three platform and two add-on acquisitions in the retail, health care, and merchant services industries.
Prior to joining Gryphon, Mr. Kovas spent two years at Bear Stearns & Co., Inc., as a financial analyst in the firm's financial buyers coverage group.
Mr. Kovas received an MBA with distinction from Harvard Business School and holds a bachelor of engineering degree with a focus in mechanical engineering from the Thayer School of Engineering at Dartmouth College.
