Tobby Yi

Tobby joined SignalFire in 2021 on the Portfolio Operations team where he is focused on scaling SignalFire’s world-class programs and resources.
Prior to SignalFire, Tobby was an Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Company where he spent 3 years focused on topics related to hypergrowth, digital strategy and GTM with startups and TMT clients.
While at McKinsey, he was able to support joint ventures with leading technology companies and serve on McKinsey’s internal incubator team.
He also led the Bay Area chapter of McKinsey’s Startup Club which offered no-fee services to pre-seed and seed stage startups.
He started his career in education with stops at Teach For America, Education Pioneers, and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
Tobby has an MBA from Yale School of Management and a BS in Business Administration from University of California, Berkeley.
Tobby loves to keep his weekends casual whether it’s making a trip to the Pacific Northwest to forage mountain vegetables, playing pickup basketball at the Potrero Rec Center, or just binging TV with his soon-to-be wife.
