Yulia Hofstede

Ms. Yulia Hofstede is a Portfolio Manager at Martin Currie Investment Management Ltd.
She joined the firm in March 2020 and and is a portfolio manager on our Global Long-Term Unconstrained team process accountability for Technology, Media and Telecoms and Financials.
She has over 14 years of experience.
Ms. Hofstede joined Martin Currie from BlackRock, where she was a Director within the Fundamental Active Equities’ Global team, working, amongst others, on some of their unconstrained mandates.
Prior to this, she was a Senior associate at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, covering Materials and Energy.
Previously she spent three years at Credit Suisse, starting as an Analyst in Global Industrial Investment Banking (M&A) before becoming an associate within their Equity Research team covering Building Materials.
She began her career in 2008 as an M&A analyst at Rothschild, Moscow.
She has a specialist diploma (Honors) in Economics with a specialization in Finance/Investment Valuation from the Financial University, Moscow.
In 2018, she also successfully completed an executive education programme “Value investing (online), intelligent investment decision” at Columbia Business School.
