In his past career he held the position of CFO-VDO Interior & Infotainment at Siemens Energy AG, Head-Powertrain Technologies at Continental AG and Chief Executive Officer for Vitesco Technologies GmbH (a subsidiary of Continental AG) and Head-Controlling at Siemens Automotive SA.

He received an MBA from Friedrich-Alexander University of Erlangen-Nuremberg.
