Fortis Investment Management Hong Kong Ltd. (FIM-HK) is the Hong Kong branch and a subsidiary of Fortis Investment Management SA (Belgium). Known under the commercial name Fortis Investments, the group is the asset management arm and a subsidiary of the banking and insurance group Fortis SA/NV (XB: FORB). Fortis Investments is headquartered in Brussels with a global network of branches in Europe, Asia and the US. FIM-HK was established in 2000 and was formerly known as PCI Investment Management Ltd. In 2007 Fortis acquired the Hong Kong-based insurance company PCI-Pacific Century Insurance Holdings Ltd., which was rebranded into FICA-Fortis Insurance Company (Asia) Ltd. FIM-HK manages the off-shore FICA investment trust, previously known as PCIIM and subdivided in a series of specialist funds including multimanager strategies. Following the merger of the asset management activities of Fortis and ABN AMRO worldwide, in 2008 FIM-HK absorbed ABN AMRO Asset Management (Asia) Ltd., which had been established in Hong Kong in 1991. FIM-HK's clients are institutions and high-net worth individuals.

ING Investment Management Asia Pacific (Hong Kong) Ltd. (INGIM-HK) is the wholly-owned investment management subsidiary of ING Insurance International B.V., ultimately owned by ING Groep NV (NYSE: ING). INGIM was founded in 1994 and provides asset management services to institutions, pension funds, insurance companies, fund distributors, foundations, high net-worth individuals and retail customers. They manage a range of global and regional investment products covering all asset classes. INGIM-HK was incorporated in 1997 and is the head office for the Asia Pacific region, responsible for Asian and Australasian products. The firm coordinates activities and reports to the parent group for offices in Singapore, India, Japan, the Philippines, Australia and New Zealand, Malaysia, as well as joint ventures in Thailand, Taiwan and Korea. INGIM-HK services Asian institutions, governments, and private individuals, offering active investment management capabilities and a range of mutual funds. INGIM-HK manages sub-funds of umbrella funds domiciled in Europe and the US, focusing on Asian markets. They distribute the range of funds managed within the parent group and also co-advises a global property equities fund, working in close relationship with US-based ING Clarion.
