Johari bin Basri

Johari bin Basri is currently a Senior Independent Non-Executive Director at Sunway Construction Group Bhd.
He is also a Member of the Malaysian Gas Association, The Malaysian Society For Occupational Safety & Health, and the Japan International Cooperation Agency Alumni Society of Malay.
Previously, Dr. bin Basri held the position of Executive Director at the National Institute of Occupational Safety & Health from 2007 to 2014.
He also served as the Director at SIRIM Bhd., the Construction Industry Development Board, and the Malaysia Department of Standards during the same period.
Additionally, he was the Executive Director of the ASEAN Occupational Safety & Health Network in 2008.
Dr. bin Basri's education includes a graduate degree from The University of Manchester in 1984, a doctorate degree from The University of Sheffield in 1977, and an undergraduate degree from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia in 1977.
