Kristin Yates

Ms. Yates is the Chief Equity Officer.
She is the chair of the Equity Investment Committee.
She has a BBA and MBA in Finance, Investments and Banking, from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
She is a graduate of the selective Applied Securities Analysis Program that gives students the opportunity to invest real money.
Before starting Holt-Smith & Yates Advisors in 1987, Ms. Yates was Vice-President and Portfolio Manager for Firstar Asset Management from 1982-1987 as well as Portfolio Manager for M&I Investment Management from 1980-1982.
She received her CFA Charter in 1984 and is a Member of the Association of Investment Management and Research (AIMR) and the Madison Investment Management Society (MIMS).
Her community involvement includes being a Board Member of the University of Wisconsin-Madison Alumni Association, a Board Member for the Mental Health Center of Dane County, and Treasurer of the First Unitarian Foundation.
She was a Chair of A Fund for Women, Dane County’s women’s foundation, and a Director and Program Chair for The Business Forum, a professional business and service group.
