Matthew D.
Murray is a Senior Associate focused on U.S.
venture opportunities in the technology and technology services sectors.
He is based in San Francisco.
Mr. Murray joined Carlyle in 2000 and has worked for both Carlyle's U.S.
venture capital fund, Carlyle Venture Partners, in San Francisco and Carlyle’s European venture capital fund, Carlyle Europe Venture Partners, in London.
While in London Mr. Murray focused on mid-market leveraged buyout opportunities in the telecommunications sector.
Now with Carlyle Venture Partners, Mr. Murray has been actively involved with Carlyle’s investments in Archetype Solutions, Canesta, Indigo Systems, Panasas, Rainfinity, and Ventaso and continues to focus on investment opportunities across a range of sectors.
Prior to Carlyle, Mr. Murray was an Associate in the technology investment banking group at Robertson Stephens where he worked on public and private financings for technology companies.
Before joining Robertson Stephens, Mr. Murray was a Consultant with Andersen Consulting where he worked on several ERP and custom application development engagements.
Mr. Murray holds a B.B.A.
in Finance from the University of Notre Dame with a second major in Computer Applications.
