Pascal Voisin is a graduate of the HEC business school (Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commerciales) and holds a graduate degree in economics (Paris X Nanterre).
He began his career in 1976 working in macroeconomic and quantitative research in France and the USA before joining the Banque Internationale du Placement (Société Générale Group, then Dresdner Bank).
In 1990 he became CEO of BIP Gestion.
He then joined the Crédit Agricole group, in 1995, as Head of Fixed Income Management.
His role gradually broadened to encompass research and strategy, balanced management and structured management, and was subsequently extended to all areas of asset management in 2002.
In 2003, he was appointed Deputy Managing Director and Head of Asset Management at CAAM, the management company that resulted from the merger of Crédit Lyonnais Asset Management and Crédit Agricole Asset Management.
Subsequently, in March 2005 he was made Chairman of the Executive Board of Ixis Asset Management*.
