Perfil
Prior to joining Novacap in September 2008, Mr. Heredia was a partner in a boutique firm specializing in debtor sponsored re-organization where he worked extensively in developing and implementing strategic and operating plans and business recovery.
He was often called upon to take the role of CEO to ensure their smooth implementation.
In 1988 Mr. Heredia was appointed CFO of Taurus Footwear Inc, a public Company that had acquired the Greb and Kodiak brands.
This LBO was confronted by a consumer recession and overseas competition.
Over the next several years, as CEO of the company was transformed from a manufacturing base of 11 factories to a marketing and licensing operation with one Canadian facility.
Subsequently, he was appointed CFO of Peerless Carpet Corporation, the largest independent Canadian manufacturer of carpets.
In conjunction with the board, Raoul crafted a plan with the newly appointed CEO to reduce debt by $27 million and implement operating cost reductions of $10 million.
The Company was eventually sold to a US strategic buyer with a 200% increase in pre-turnaround shareholder value.
Mr. Heredia obtained his Bachelors of Commerce degree with honours and distinction from Concordia University in Montreal and his Chartered Accountant designation with PricewaterhouseCoopers where he spent 11 years in Montreal and Paris in the field of assurance services, Computer audit and Consulting.
