Sam Subramaniam

Sam Subramaniam serves as the CEO of Brand Capital.
He is the head of the Investment Committee, and he has been instrumental in growing the Brand Capital portfolio for the past 4-years.
Sam is a seasoned business leader with more than 27 years of experience in general management, business strategy, investing, private equity, and business turnarounds.
He has successfully run a family office, private equity funds and companies in the past.
In his previous role, Sam was the Founder and Managing Director of Sprout Growth Advisors - a family office adviser - which managed a large investment portfolio and he also served as a senior advisor for growing multi-billion-dollar financial services and insurance business where he guided them on tech strategy and JV's/partnerships with start-up companies in Silicon Valley.
He was Co-founder and MD of India Equity Partners - a growth equity investor.
His corporate experience includes serving as a strategic advisor to the CEO and senior management at American Express, a banker at Goldman Sachs, and a consultant at Booz Allen Hamilton.
These positions span across multiple geographies including New York, San Francisco Bay Area, India, Australia and Europe.
Sam is an MBA from the University of Chicago's Booth School of Business.
He completed engineering from IIT Madras and holds an MS from Vanderbilt University.
