Abe Spence

Abe Spence serves as Chief Financial Officer for 645 Ventures and its related funds.
With 20+ years of experience in finance, Abe has direct responsibility across the firm’s finance, legal, and operational activities.
Prior to 645, Abe was a Senior Vice President at Katapult Holdings, where he led the finance and capital markets operations.
Before joining Katapult, Abe was an investment banker at Citi and Lazard.
Throughout his career in investment banking, Abe advised and covered clients on 40 plus transactions which included M&As, IPOs, and Debt/Equity offerings totaling over $40 billon in value.
A native of Newark, NJ, Abe is loyal NY Giants fan (Go Blue!) who enjoys grilling, sports, traveling and spending time with his family.
Abe received a BA in Finance with honors from Morehouse College and an MBA from Cornell University (Johnson) where he was a Park Fellow.
