Al Meyers

Mr. Allan J.
Meyers, CFA MBA, is Director & Senior Portfolio Manager at City National Rochdale LLC.
He works with each client’s advisor to develop a customized portfolio based on the client’s investment objective, time horizon, income needs, and tolerance for market volatility.
In this role, he is responsible for the investment strategy implementation and monitoring of client portfolios, as well as direct relationship management.
He joined the firm in December 2013.
He is a member and past President of the Financial Analyst Society of West Michigan.
Additionally, he is actively involved in the Rockford Rotary Club and has taught as an adjunct professor of finance at Western Michigan University and Grand Valley State University.
Mr. Meyers joined City National Rochdale in 2013 and has over 30 years of diversified investment management experience.
He has extensive experience managing assets for both individual and institutional investors.
Previously, he was a Portfolio Manager at AMBS Investment Counsel, where he was involved in the management of client portfolios and the equity selection process.
He began his professional career at Fifth Third Bank and its predecessor banks in 1975.
At Fifth Third Bank he served as Director of Diversified Equity Fund Management and at Fifth Third’s predecessor bank he served in many roles including both Director of Equity Management and Director of Fixed Income.
Mr. Meyers holds a BBA in Finance and an MBA in Accounting from Western Michigan University.
He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a member of the CFA Institute.
