Bruce Lathrop

Mr. Lathrop has been a business lawyer in the Los Angeles area for extensive years, with a practice focused on intellectual property, corporate law, government contracts, and dispute resolution.
He was previously associated with the international law firm of Seyfarth Shaw LLP, primarily representing companies in the aerospace and defense industry, the same industries he served as an engineer prior to attending law school.
Beginning in 1998, he served for more than eight years as in-house counsel to Environmental Systems Research Institute (ESRI), a large multinational software and services company.
He is a member at Pasadena Angels.
Over the years, Mr. Lathrop has gained significant expertise in companies and technology surrounding computer hardware and software, geographic information systems or GIS software, graphical user interfaces, avionics, the Internet, and system design, development, and testing.
Mr. Lathrop is a registered patent attorney and received his law degree from the University of Southern California and his engineering degree from the University of California, Los Angeles, where his upper division coursework focused on industrial engineering, ergonomics, user interface design, and man-machine systems.
