David Tamasi

David provides Rasky Baerlein Strategic Communications more than a decade of media, government relations and public affairs experience at the local, state, national and global levels.
He specializes in message development for high profile media relations outreach that supports public policy advocacy efforts.
David has counseled foreign and corporate leaders on some of the most difficult and contentious issues in the public affairs arena.
His practice focus also includes crisis communications, corporate reputation, issues management and litigation communications support services.
Prior to joining Rasky Baerlein, David worked at Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide where he implemented strategic communications campaigns that resulted in scores of high profile media placements in the world’s leading publications on behalf of clients, such as Cambridge Energy Research Associates, CITGO, DuPont, Embassy of Pakistan, Hess Corporation, IHS, Inc., Mirant Corporation, U.S.
Dept.
of Homeland Security and the University of Chicago.
David is also an active political fundraiser serving on presidential and congressional finance committees, including the Mitt Romney for President Campaign and the re-election campaign for U.S.
Congressman William Delahunt.
Prior to joining Ogilvy PR, David was a Washington, D.C.
correspondent for the Pulitzer-Prize winning, Lawrence Eagle-Tribune, covering national politics, Congress and the federal government.
He also covered Massachusetts’ politics as a correspondent for The Falmouth Enterprise.
David worked at the Boston law firm of Todd & Weld, LLP where he provided litigation assistance, litigation communications support and advised on a variety of legislative issues.
He began his career in the Office of the House Minority Leader in the Massachusetts Legislature as a research analyst providing legislative and strategic counsel to Republican Members.
