Don L. Head

Mr. Donald L.
Head, CFA, is Founder at HeadInvest LLC.
He has been engaged in investment management for over thirty years and founded HeadInvest in 1989.
In 1982, he joined Casco Northern Bank, becoming Senior Vice President in charge of the Trust Department.
Prior to arriving in Maine, he worked many years at larger institutions in the Midwest.
At the Central Trust Company in Cincinnati, he managed investment research and strategy from 1978 to 1982.
From 1972 to 1977, he was Vice President in institutional sales for The First Boston Corporation, one of the world's leading investment banks.
He began his career at the National City Bank of Cleveland where he became Investment Research Director.
Mr. Head has a B.A.
in Economics from Denison University.
He is a Chartered Financial Analyst, a Fellow of the Association for Investment Management and Research, and a graduate of AIMR's Investment Management Workshop.
He is President of PORTopera and a member of the executive committee of the University of Southern Maine Corporate Partners.
He has been Director and Corporate Secretary of Goodwill Industries of Northern New England and President of Portland Community Chorus.
He was co-chair in 2000 of the rededication of the Portland Observatory.
