Harold A. Black

Harold A.
Black has been a Director of New Century Financial Corp.
since June 2004 and Professor of the Financial Institutions at the University of Tennessee since 1987.
He was a Faculty Member of American University, Howard University, the University of North Carolina and the University of Florida.
Previously, he was the Head of the Department of Finance for College of Business Administration at the University of Tennessee from 1987 to 1995, Deputy Director for the Department of Economic Research and Analysis at the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency from 1976 to 1978 and a Director of the National Credit Union Administration from 1979 to 1981.
Dr. Black was a Director of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta from 1990 to 1994 and a Member of the Savings Association Insurance Fund Advisory Committee from 1994 to 1998 and a Director of H.F.
Ahmanson & Co. from 1995 to 1998.
He received an undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia and an MA degree and a PhD from Ohio State University.
