Mr. Berlin formed Bridge Industries (www.bridgeind.com) in 2003.
Bridge is a holding company designed to acquire and operate manufacturing businesses.
In 2004 Bridge acquired Multi Products, a manufacturer of engineered equipment for the oil & gas industry www.plungerlift.com.
In late 2005 Bridge formed Cimarron Central, LLC to combine two operating companies and provide growth capital.
Cimarron www.cimarrongas.com is a manufacturer of systems for the separation and dehydration of natural gas.
Prior to Bridge, Mr. Berlin served as Hawk Corporation’s www.hawkcorp.com President and COO since May of 1999.
He joined Hawk in 1991 as the Director of Corporate Development responsible for acquisitions.
After initiating Hawk’s acquisition strategy, he led Hawk through ten acquisitions and start-ups as the company grew from $15M to more than $200M over a ten year period.
Headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio, Hawk has 1,700 employees and 11 manufacturing sites in six countries.
He started his career with Parker Hannifin Corporation in a financial role.
Mr. Berlin is serving on the Board of The Ohio Foundation of Independent Colleges.
He has served on the Board of Trustees of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, and was its past Chairman, and has also served on the Board of Big Brothers and Big Sisters and volunteered as a Big Brother.
Mr. Berlin received an accounting degree from Miami University and is a CPA.
