Ltd. and is indirectly owned by HSBC Holdings Plc (LON: HSBA, ADR: HSBC.PRA) in Great Britain. Headquartered in Hong Kong, the firm originated in 1973 as a banking branch and became part of HSBC Asset Management in 1994. The current firm, formerly known as HSBC Investments (Hong Kong) Ltd., was founded in 2005 when the group's investment management business was reorganized. HSBC-GAM HK provides investment management services to corporate clients, private individuals and institutions.

AMP Capital Investors Ltd. (AMPCI) is the wholly-owned investment management subsidiary of AMP Capital Holdings Ltd., ultimately held by financial group AMP Ltd. (ASX: AMP) in Australia. Founded in 1849 as the non-profit Australian Mutual Provident Society, the group is an Australian superannuation provider and asset manager. The firm is headquartered in Sydney with additional offices in New Zealand, Dubai, China, Hong Kong, India, Ireland, Japan, Luxembourg, UK and the US. They were one of the first to invest in infrastructure when they participated in the financing of the Sydney Harbour Tunnel in 1988.
