Liezel Louw

Ms. Liezel Louw, CFA, is a Portfolio Manager at Taquanta Asset Managers Pty Ltd.
Ms. Louw joined Taquanta in 2010 as a Client Relationship Manager and was appointed Head of the CRM team in 2011, a role she held until December 2015, after which she transitioned to her current role.
Over the past couple of years, she has been part of the team managing low duration fixed income portfolio and has recently joined the long-dated bond team, where she is part of the team looking after nominal, inflation-linked as well as LDI portfolios.
Ms. Louw started her career in 2003 as a Financial Manager in the retail industry.
After this, she shifted her focus to the investment industry.
Positions included middle and back office work at Grainvest Futures and working as a pricing analyst at State Street South Africa.
From 2006 to 2009, she worked as a Vice President – Structured Finance at Maples Finance in the Cayman Islands.
This position included providing directorship, fiduciary and administration services, to a number of special purpose vehicle companies.
She holds a B.Com Honors in Financial Management from the University of Pretoria and was awarded a CFA Charter in 2008.
