Ms. Francis joined Barometer Capital Management on June 2009.
Prior to that, she was a Portfolio Manager at Cumberland with several years of experience in the investment management and investment banking businesses.
Prior to joining Cumberland in early 2005, she spent extensive years at CIBC both in private wealth management and investment banking.
She has worked with many mid-market businesses and clients on business succession planning, including the transition of a business, liquidity events and exit strategies, and the implementation of wealth management solutions.
During her time in Investment Banking at CIBC World Markets, Ms. Francis was involved in over 15 initial public offerings, numerous debt and equity financings and a number of merger and acquisition deals.
Earlier in her business career, she worked in the audit and real estate group of Coopers & Lybrand, while completing her Chartered Accountant designation.
She received her M.B.A.
from University of Toronto-Rotman School of Management.
She is a Chartered Accountant and holds the Canadian Investment Manager (CIM) designation.
She is also a registered portfolio manager.
