Paul Tyers

Mr. Tyers is a leader in comprehensive wealth management having pioneered the integration of these services throughout Canada with those of other professional accounting and law firms.
A Chartered Accountant (C.A.), Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and Canadian Investment Manager (CIM), he has dedicated his career to providing comprehensive wealth management advisory services to higher net worth clients.
Mr. Tyers is a regular columnist in The Bottom Line and has appeared as a guest on various television programs including CBC and Global.
In 1998, he co-authored a book Fiscal Fitness – Financial Planning For All Stages of Life.
Mr. Tyers earned his C.A.
with today’s KPMG in 1981.
There he gained experience with public and private entities primarily in the investment, transportation and food services industries.
Following that, he spent five years in corporate financing with Bank of Montreal and a boutique firm gaining experience in mergers/acquisitions and growth financing.
In 1987, Mr. Tyers and a venture capital partner acquired a financial services firm, Retirement Counsel of Canada “RCOC”.
From 1987, Paul led RCOC through substantial growth prior to negotiating its sale in 2002 to the AIC/Berkshire Group.
In 2002, Mr. Tyers joined Hahn Investment.
A member of the Ontario and Canadian Institutes of Chartered Accountants, the Financial Planners Standards Council, and Advisors with Purpose, he is also a committed member in his church and volunteers with various organizations, including Opportunity International, a non-profit organization devoted to improving the well being of the world’s poor through micro-lending.
